The Mental Health Information Centre aims to address some of these issues by:

  • being actively involved in the psychoeducation of clinicians and mental health professionals

  • conducting and collaborating research efforts in psychiatry and related fields

  • promoting public awareness of mental health issues

  • encouraging early diagnosis and treatment of mental illness

  • addressing stigma associated with mental illness

The Mental Health Information Centre of Southern Africa strives to assist the South African public and professionals with up-to-date mental health information as well as an accessible easy-to-use database of mental health professionals.

A fully licenced Acute Treatment Facility, Montrose Manor is situated in one of Cape Town’s prime suburbs, Bishopscourt, and specialises exclusively in both the primary and the extended treatment of severe and enduring eating disorders -
including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa and Binge-Eating Disorder
